Important Housing Calendar Dates and Breaks

Planning ahead and want to know when the residence halls open and close for Fall 2025? Check out the dates below and keep these dates in mind when scheduling your travel.  All dates are based on the academic calendar and are subject to change.

The dates below have been updated to reflect the 2025-2026 academic year calendar.

 

 Fall 2025

August 21 -22, 2025

Fall 2025 Housing check-in begins.

Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

August 25, 2025

Housing Mandatory Meeting
Location: Special Events Center (SEC) GYM 

  • Time: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Females

  • Time: 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM - Males

  • All residents - Please bring Student Identification card to scan! (Failure to attend the meeting will result in a $25 fine.)

November 25, 2025

Housing closes by 5:00 PM for Thanksgiving break

  • Any resident not approved to stay over Thanksgiving break will need to leave by 5:00 PM.

  • Non-approved fee: $35 per day 

November 30, 2025

Housing reopens by 2:00 PM 

Housing residents can return to campus after 2:00 PM.

December 7, 2025

Deadline: "Are you returning or not?" form must be completed by December 7, 2025 by 5:00 PM.

  • All residents must complete the "Are you returning or not? form.

  • Deadline: December 7, 2025

December 6, 2025 - December 12, 2025

  • Housing check-out starts.

  • By appointments, housing will email a link

Residents are required to check out of Housing within 24 hours after the last final exam.

 

 Spring 2026

Housing closed for Spring Break

Housing closes at 5pm on March 13, 2026

Housing reopens 

Housing reopens at 2:00 PM.

April 3 - April 5, 2026

Good Friday - College closed

Dining Hall will be closed during this time.

May 6 - May 12, 2026

Housing check-out begins.

Residents are required to check out of Housing by 5:00 PM on the day of their last exam.

 

 Summer 2026

  • Housing check-in.

  • Housing opens for Summer II (Summer 2nd 6-week)

Housing opens for Summer II check-in.

August 13, 2026

  • Housing check-out.

  • Housing closes for Summer II (Summer 2nd 6-week)

Residence Life / Housing closes by 4:00 PM.

 

NEW! 2025-2026 Campus Closure Dates

All residence halls and dining facilities will be closed to students during the following periods:

  • Thanksgiving Break: November 25, 2025 - November 30, 2025

  • Winter Break: December 19, 2025 - January 15, 2026

  • Spring Break: March 13, 2026 - March 22, 2026

  • and other designated periods when school is not in session.
