How to search classes through Self-Service.
SELF-SERVICE FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS/GUESTS
You may search the current course schedule as a guest or prospective student without logging in! All you need to do is click on the self-service link for guests & start searching for courses and course sections. The Subject Search tab lists courses in alpha order and offers course descriptions and filter options to narrow your search results. The Advanced Search tab allows you to specifically search by term, date, subject, location, and many more. Schedule information provided by SELF-SERVICE is ‘live’ and never out-of-date. STEP 2: APPLY FOR ADMISSION
HOW TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION
New Students or Returning Students who have not enrolled with Navarro College for more than one (1) year:

Complete a free admissions application online through the ApplyTexas website.

Submit All Official Transcripts. Beginning Student: Official High School Transcript or High School Equivalency (HSE) Scores. Transfer Student: Official transcripts from all colleges attended.

Submit Proof of Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination. Must be submitted 10 days before the first day of class. Exemption information is available online on the College's Bacterial Meningitis page.

If required, submit proof of residency. This is only if requested by the Office of Admissions.

STEP 3: APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS

Visit the Financial Aid website for information and instructions on how to apply for aid and scholarships.

b. Summer Students - Complete TWO (2) Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
applications for 2024-2025 and 2025-2026

Students admitted under Texas House Bill 1403/Texas Senate Bill 1528, see the Financial Aid Office or visit the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) website and apply online.

After 3-5 business days, logon to the Financial Aid page through Self-Service, and complete the checklist.

STEP 4: APPLY FOR HOUSING (CORSICANA LOCATION ONLY)

Pass a background check
STEPS PRIOR TO HOUSING CHECK-IN

Enroll in 15 semester credit hours and check out on Self-Service with financial aid, payment plan or full payment.

Pay room and board online on MyNC.

Review and submit Housing Agreement Terms and Conditions

Complete the online Personal Property Information form

Familiarize yourself with rules and policies

Consider personal property insurance for your belongings.

STEP 5: COMPLETE A PLACEMENT TEST
HOW TO BECOME TEXAS SUCCESS INITIATIVE (TSI) COMPLETE

Students must take the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment and submit test scores at time of registration. Exemptions are available online at the College for All Texans website.

Complete the PreAssessment Activity online prior to taking the TSI Assessment.
-
Make an appointment with the Testing Center available at each campus. Visit the Testing Center website for more information. On the day of testing, bring the $35 Testing fee and photo identification.
