Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)
A Quality Enhancement Plan is a long-term, college-wide project focused on the improvement, enrichment, and enhancement of the student learning experience – and a major part of our reaffirmation process through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), a regional accreditation agency for higher education institutions in the Southern states.
What does QEP stand for?
Quality Enhancement Plan
What is a QEP?
The QEP is a new initiative at Navarro College that will impact student learning; involve all campuses; and be measurable, institutionally data driven, and financially sustainable.
Why is the QEP important to me?
It is an opportunity to improve student learning at Navarro College.
What is the Navarro College QEP topic?
At this time, Navarro College is currently narrowing down the QEP topic and will announce the final selection in Fall 2024.
UPDATE: The votes are in and College and Career Success Course has been selected as our next QEP initiative. This course will be designed to help students adjust more quickly, get students connected to resources, and train students in skills that will help in academic and personal life. Students will establish and build relationships with mentors to improve their overall success.
Now, we need you to help us name this initiative. As an example, our last QEP was called TEAM2 (Together Everyone Achieves Math Mastery).
Name submissions closed on November 4, 2024.
Who is actually involved in the Navarro College QEP?
Everyone is involved! All full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, staff, administrators, and students on every campus, including online, must share in the development and campus awareness required by this QEP initiative.
