Decades of the Dawgs

 

October 5-10, 2026

Navarro College invites students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the community to join us for Homecoming Week 2026, a celebration of school spirit, tradition, and Bulldog pride. This week-long event features a variety of activities, culminating in the Homecoming football game and the crowning of the Homecoming Court.

 

 Spirit Days 

All Spirit Day outfits must be school appropriate

  • Monday: 50's Decade

Classic dresses, skirts, suits, button-down shirts, and leather jackets with a polished, modest style.

  • Tuesday: 60's Decade

Bold colors, miniskirts, go-go boots, bell-bottoms, and mod-inspired styles.

  • Wednesday: 70's Decade

Flared pants, tie-dye, fringe, suede, and earthy colors with a relaxed, free-spirited look.

  • Thursday: 80's Decade

Neon colors, oversized silhouettes, power suits, tracksuits, and flashy accessories defined the bold, high-energy look.

  • Friday: 90's Decade

Denim overalls, graphic tees, bucket hats, chokers, and platform shoes; playful, laid-back street style.

Monday, October 5 

  • SGA Meeting, 3:30 PM- 4:30 PM in the Bulldog Board Room

  • Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Street Signs, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM in Gibson Hall

  • Spirit Day - 50's Decade Theme

 

Tuesday, October 6

  • Ice Cream Social, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Clock Tower

  • Volleyball vs Blinn College, 6:00 PM at the SEC(Homecoming court will be presented at the volleyball game)

  • Spirit Day - 60's Decade Theme

 

Wednesday, October 7

  • Morning Coffee Hour, 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM in the Dining Hall Foyer

  • Workshop Wednesday - College Celebration and How to Make Smart Decisions, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM at the Bulldog Life Center

  • Casino Night, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM in Gibson Hall

  • Spirit Day - 70's Decade Theme

 

Thursday, October 8

  • Homecoming Parade, Starts at 5:15 (Pep Rally to follow)

  • Pep-Rally, 5:15 PM - 6:30 PM at the Clock Tower in front of the Gooch Center
    (Homecoming Prince and Princess will be crowned during the Pep Rally)

  • Mum Making, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Gibson Hall

  • Spirit Day - 80's Decade Theme

 

Friday, October 9

  • Cookout Dinner, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM at Gibson Hall

  • Spirit Day - 90's Decade Theme

 

Saturday, October 10 - Homecoming Football Game and Homecoming Court Coronation

Join us at Community National Bank and Trust Stadium in Corsicana for the Navarro College Bulldogs vs. Kilgore College football game starting at 3:00 PM. During halftime, the King and Queen will be crowned, and the Homecoming Court will be celebrated.

Student Engagement will also be hosting a tailgate from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM before the homecoming football game.
