Procedure
Student Records
The Navarro College District designates the Registrar as the official custodian of all student admissions and academic records. The Registrar’s Office serves as the official repository for these records and is responsible for ensuring their integrity, security, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
All student records received by the College, regardless of location, are maintained in an official electronic records system. The College may retain original paper documents for a limited period for processing purposes, after which they are securely destroyed in accordance with institutional records management practices.
Electronic student records are securely maintained, regularly backed up by the College’s Information Technology Department, and accessible only to authorized personnel with appropriate security permissions.
Records for Workforce, Continuing Education, and Health Professions students will be maintained by the department or designee in accordance with institutional procedures, accrediting agency requirements, and under the oversight of the Registrar.
