Dr. Varion Walton currently holds the position of Director of Nursing, following his
tenure as a Trauma Nurse at Houston Methodist Hospital. Varion also serves as Founder
of Walton Healthcare Associates. He and his team are committed to offering CPR and
first aid training and health workshops. They provide classes at their location and
are available to travel for large groups. With experienced instructors and curriculum
adhering to current guidelines, Walton Healthcare Associates ensures students leave
with the necessary skills for CPR and first aid administration, offering BLS, ACLS,
PALS, and Heartsaver certifications.
His educational background includes a Doctor of Nursing Practice from TCU, focusing in Executive Nurse Leadership, a master’s degree in business administration, and bachelor’s degrees in nursing and business management from Sam Houston State University. Varion holds National and State Certifications as a Certified Emergency Nurse and Licensed Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator. Driven by his experiences at Navarro College, Varion emphasizes the importance of creating opportunities. He co-founded the Walton Legacy Scholarship in 2023 for Navarro College students. As a co-founder of Walton Inspires 501(c)(3), he is dedicated to providing educational and career preparation skills to individuals from diverse backgrounds. Varion is an active member of professional associations, including the Emergency Nurses Association, National Association of HealthCare Administrators, American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing and American College of HealthCare Executives.
