(In fondest memory of Joe Breithaupt, who passed away May 28, 1974)

  • A graduate of Emhouse High School, he served in the Navy during WWII as a radioman.

  • He was on the Lexington when it sunk during the Battle of Coral Sea and was on the Yorktown when it sunk during the Battle of Midway.

  • The Navy never let him get on another ship again.

  • After WWII he graduated from Navarro in 1949 where he was a member of the Pre-Engineering Club and Phi Theta Kappa.

  • He went on to Oklahoma University where he graduated as an electrical engineer.

  • A long-time employee of Texas Instruments in Dallas.
