H1N1 Update

As the flu becomes more prevalent in our community, Navarro College wants you to know that if you have flu-like symptoms, we recommend you talk to your health care provider immediately. The virus is highly contagious and we need your assistance in helping to keep it from spreading.

Seasonal flu vaccines are now available from health providers and at county health departments (call (903) 874-6711 for more information). The vaccine for the H1N1 flu is expected to be available to high-risk groups beginning mid-October (more specific information to follow when it becomes available).
Throughout this academic year, Navarro College will closely monitor the spread of flu in our communities. Please know that we are taking steps to help prevent the spread of the virus.
Please follow these guidelines:
Stay alert to the situation this flu season. The latest on the spread of the virus in the state is available at www.texasflu.org. Check your Navarro College e-mail for updates. And encourage your family, roommates, and classmates to take precautions to help stay healthy.
