LVN Program
The Vocational Nursing Program is a one year program designed to prepare a students for careers as Licensed Vocational Nurses. Many students are able to utilize this program as a starting point for later work in an LVN to RN bridge program and beyond. Often students obtain LVN certification primarily to gain entrance and experience in the field of nursing. By doing so, they are able work as nurses while working toward an Associates Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Students in the program receive instruction via traditional lecture format in the classroom. Hands-on instruction and practice is obtained in the campus skills lab and in clinical settings such as area hospitals, physician offices, and schools. The Vocational Nursing Program at the Navarro College – Midlothian Campus is well respected in the community and graduates of the program have been successful in starting and maintaining rewarding careers in nursing.
